You could use a LED diode screen instead of a flashlight, you can tweak kelvin and saturation with those plus they are cheaper
Just in Time... I really need this... thanks a million man! you're the greatest, and I already bought all of your classes many many years ago
Awesome bro. Email me if you have other questions.
@@LukeAyers thanks for sure, your lessons are street smart on hand styles 😂😂 I dont have problems & questions 😂😂
Youve successfully flipped my head mate.
Awesome dude. Pleasure
This vid has Value Edited: Great fking Value
More with the least. You are amazing Luke!
Thanks man
Did you try to keep a straight face in the final video? Did not work 😏 But make more of this kind of practical videos, very helpful 😘
Is it okay if I use this in my video?
Sure 👍
@@LukeAyers Thank you 🙇♀
Wow! Ima try it now I’ll let you know how it works
Boss man 🙌
Awesome video!
Thanks dude
Amazing man...
Thanks bro
Thanks for This. What did you use as main light?
Thanks dude. Main light was just a little godox stick LED inside a cheap softbox
Always great vids! Keep it up brotha
Thanks dude
Badass video achieved!!😎🤩 Nailed it, man. Yes, I learned.🤓 I loved the glowing cigarette embers.🔥 Thanks for putting this together for us!😊
Thanks Jocelyn
Hi Luke, as always awesome to”how to”! Can you please share the details of the 2 light you are using and the size of the black pop-up black deflector/backdrop?
Awesome dude. Black background was just a large pop-up or foldable black background (search that). Lights were a godox LED stick and a little FreeWell LED pocket light.
Badass. Beautiful 💅
Very Cool
Cheers
Awesome video! I especially appreciate how you explain each step. More of these would be very useful. A lot of people are experts at what they do, but cannot teach. You are both expert and teacher. 😊
Thanks that’s good to know 😊👍
Great Video. I liked very much how you created the scene and explained your thoughts
Thanks Ralf
Learned one or two things to be forgetten for whrn I need them that's for sure! I think something that I'd appriciate in your description, below your course info, is an equipment list. I'm finding your videos above all others the easiest to digest coming back into photography, and starting with some videography too. Why I'd find the list useful is to help compare what I can afford, or to helo prioritise the features what seem useful because there is a metric tonne load out there
Awesome. Good to know. And yes I’ll include equipment lists in the future. But it’s all cheap stuff really.
If you go look at rows of magazines in the shops, can see the light in the eyes of the model, and most of them are one light, big softbox, little bit higher than the face, square centre. Especially for lady models. Soft light to make ladies faces smooth, harsher light to make men look more rugged. But you right 90% mostly one light. Even for those high paying magazine jobs.
Totally
Another advantage for constant light is having the pupil dilated on your subject, if you want to see the iris more. And for flash, is the constant color temperature, sure makes editing easier/faster especially for someone like me that battles with getting skin tones right and so on haha.
Very good 👏
So impressive.
Thank you!
Pleasure
One light to rule them all
I get what you're saying. Re-mortgage and get the top of the line camera and fancy ass lenses.
You got it
Nice one! Good to see some familiar faces.
Nice one! Good to see some familiar faces.
Hi, great video. What if i bought a set of spacer rings, for my 35 mm lens. Is that the same as a real macro-lens? Would it make it 1:1?
It might make it 1:1 but the optical quality likely wouldn’t be as good. But try it. Might work just fine.
@@LukeAyers Thanks, i will try it
OMG as a Russian speaker and your channel's fan, now I'm totally in love with you dude 😍 How came you know that much Russian?
Haha thanks dude. My wife is Russian. I’ve been learning.
I really like the way he takes photos in the wrong settings to explain why. I've never learned more from anyone like I have Luke Ayers. Luke, if you're ever planning on coming to the States, please come to Vegas and Seattle. We'll welcome you and have you as our guest. You're the best my friend
Thanks a lot brother! I appreciate that
Thank you. Keep going.
Simple! With Luke Ayers you can be a beginner and feel like you can do it. All his tips are simple and easy to put in practice.
You certainly write with the light! The composition in your video with ONE light is simply the Best. Thank you for all those valuable tips you are sharing with us.
Pleasure to help, Corinne

Awesome dude
Gosh Luke, you are so very inspirational! Your passion for photography and your gift for teaching and instruction is just amazing. I look forward to your videos. Be well and thanks so much! From a true fan!
Awesome thank you very much 😊
I went from Canon 80d and 90d, to my Canon R7, and love the features mirrorless gives me. Mostly how much easier it is to use, from the autofocus and eye detect and so on, to not having the mirror blocking my view while shooting fast moving subjects, and the camera is nice and light and fast. And the RF lenses I have, so far, are optically and otherwise, much better. And I love looking at the little TV screen inside the camera haha, shows me how the picture will be exposed, very useful compared to DSLR. And it is now fast enough to have a similar feel as DSLR, plus added bonus of being able to have a continuous view of a subject for action shots, makes it so much easier. Although, if I still had my old DLSR's, I wouldn't complain they are great. But in the case of not having any camera, and buying newly like I did, to me the only choice would be my new mirrorless camera. So much more pleasurable and easy to use.
Thank you Luke 😎
This is very true. I feel like things can be very simple if we just stop and think.
Logical first time I saw someone who understands our problem.
Plz talk canoon 90d
love these down to earth dry humoured help in photography and lighting is my nemesis, by the way you would make a great actor you have the charisma as one x
